At a lock one summer, the control box was overgrown after a week of sun and rain. One boater spent ten minutes on the phone complaining that someone should fix it. Another simply picked up the cutters and cut it back while the lock filled.
The Environment Agency looks after 280 miles of river. We live on it. So rather than wait for someone, we'd rather be someone — and this site is here to make that a little easier, and a little kinder, for all of us.
